Contracts Manager - House Building Experience
The role:
Working as member of the operations team as Contracts Manager you will have the ability to work on your own initiative and lead projects to meet tight deadlines. To be successful in this role, you will establish, work to, lead and drive process. The role will include national travel and will involve collaborative work with clients and sub-contractors.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Leading numerous projects at any given time ensuring all key deadlines are achieved.
- Development and management of construction programmes including providing regular updates to the business.
- Ensure quality standards of work are maintained at all times.
- Manage and control project costs in line with agreed budgets.
- Manage client's expectations throughout projects.
- Control direct labour, subcontractors and coordinate the works ensuring the works are completed on time & to budget.
- Establish good relationships with clients and all key stakeholders.
- Lead, manage and work in a safe manner within the boundaries of the Company Health & Safety Policy and any additional site restrictions.
Qualifications & Training:
- Preferably qualified to degree level, HND, industry experienced or equivalent.
- Possesses current SMSTS qualification.
- Holds a current CSCS / CPCS card.
- Holds a current full driving licence.
- IT literate & can use Microsoft excel, word & project
Experience
- Experience of working within the house building industry
Qualities & Attitude:
- Positive, self-motivated and able to work effectively without close supervision.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Strong work ethic for doing things the right way.
- Ability to support and challenge in equal measure, pushing back as required.
- Solid leader of both people and process.
