We have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with at least 10 years experience from a PQS background to join a newly formed residential construction business in Sheffield.
Our client is financially strong, and due to recent expansion of a new division, has a requirement to establish a full construction team. The role will involve providing costing, fund monitoring, procurement, setting up of contracts and certificates and acting as employers agent. All projects are involved within the residential sector.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive Quantity Surveyor looking for a new career opportunity and 'something a little different'.
The Role:
- Estimating and cost planning
- Procurement
- Tender document preparation and reporting
- Contract administration and cost control
- Fund monitoring
- Interim valuations
- Cost reporting
- Final account preparation
- Acting as Employers Agent
Experience / Skills Required:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar technical discipline
- Previously employed by a consultancy or end user client
- A minimum of 10 years+ post Graduate experience
- Feasibility and cost planning, procurement advice, tender documentation and post contract services
- Stakeholder management
- A track record of managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines
- A team player, outgoing, flexible, enthusiastic and ambitious
- Client facing
