<p>Are you a talented Part 2 Architectural Assistant looking to build your experience across a diverse range of projects while receiving full support towards your Part 3 qualification?</p>
<p>Our client is a well-established architectural and interior design practice with over 35 years of experience delivering inspiring commercial and residential projects throughout the UK. Known for their creative approach, technical expertise and long-standing client relationships, they have built an enviable reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors.</p>
<p>Due to continued growth, they are seeking an ambitious Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join their friendly and collaborative team in Shipley.</p>
<p>The Opportunity</p>
<p>This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across RIBA Stages 1–4 while working on a varied portfolio of projects including hospitality, residential, commercial, industrial and heritage schemes.</p>
<p>The practice undertakes refurbishment, extension and conversion projects for blue-chip hospitality clients, many involving existing and Listed Buildings, alongside residential developments, bespoke homes and interior design commissions.</p>
<p>As part of a close-knit team, you'll enjoy genuine responsibility, working directly alongside experienced architects and designers while developing both your technical and creative skills.</p>
<p>Responsibilities</p>
<ul>
<li>Assisting with projects across RIBA Stages 1–4</li>
<li>Producing planning and Building Regulations packages</li>
<li>Preparing design and technical drawings</li>
<li>Liaising with clients, consultants and local authorities</li>
<li>Assisting with tender and construction information</li>
<li>Supporting architectural and interior design projects</li>
</ul>
<p>About You</p>
<ul>
<li>RIBA Part 2 qualified</li>
<li>Ideally 2+ years' experience within an architectural practice</li>
<li>Experience working across RIBA Stages 1–4</li>
<li>Good understanding of planning and Building Regulations processes</li>
<li>Strong communication and organisational skills</li>
<li>Proactive, enthusiastic and keen to develop your career</li>
<li>An interest in interior design would be advantageous</li>
</ul>

<p class="isSelectedEnd">Recruit Build is working with a growing Yorkshire housebuilder to recruit a Design Engineer to join its expanding Technical team based in Pontefract.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil or Infrastructure Design Engineer looking to move into, or further develop their career within residential development. You'll play a key role in delivering engineering solutions from initial land appraisal through to completed housing developments, working closely with the wider Technical, Land and Construction teams.</p>
<h2>The Role</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">As Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for the design and coordination of engineering infrastructure across multiple residential developments, ensuring schemes are technically compliant, commercially viable and delivered on programme.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Your responsibilities will include:</p>
<ul data-spread="false">
<li>Producing detailed engineering designs for residential developments using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Site3D.</li>
<li>Designing highways, drainage, earthworks and levels in accordance with current design standards.</li>
<li>Preparing technical drawings and supporting engineering information for planning and construction.</li>
<li>Assisting with site feasibility studies, land appraisals and identifying engineering constraints.</li>
<li>Liaising with Local Authorities, Water Authorities, utility providers and statutory bodies.</li>
<li>Supporting Section 38, Section 278 and Section 104 technical submissions.</li>
<li>Coordinating engineering information with external consultants and the wider Technical team.</li>
<li>Working closely with Land, Planning, Commercial and Construction teams to ensure projects progress efficiently from acquisition through to completion.</li>
<li>Identifying opportunities for value engineering and continuous improvement.</li>
</ul>
<h2>About You</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">We're keen to hear from Design Engineers with experience in residential development, infrastructure or civil engineering.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Ideally you'll have:</p>
<ul data-spread="false">
<li>Experience producing engineering designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Site3D.</li>
<li>A good understanding of highways, drainage, levels and infrastructure design.</li>
<li>Experience working on residential or development-led projects.</li>
<li>Knowledge of UK design standards and approval processes.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.</li>
<li>HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.</li>
</ul>
