Project Manager - Freelance/Fixed Term Contract
Location: Lincoln
Duration 6 months
This is an exciting opportunity to join an award winning, forward thinking and dynamic business.
Are you a Freelance Construction Project Manager, looking for a fresh challenge? Our client is looking to add to their very talented team, with an experienced Project Manager, with solid technical construction knowledge. You will initially be responsible for the completion of an £18m Student PRS scheme in Lincoln.
You will:
- Lead the delivery of project to completion in 6 months time
- Adhere to the project plan to completion considering all relevant statutory and client requirements, establish targets with respect to project delivery; monitor and report on progress against these targets
- Be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects including management and delivery of project milestones
- Effectively manage and maintain appropriate budget costs, achieving targets
- Manage the decision making process by carrying out all necessary liaison and negotiations with all parties involved ensuring value for money
- Carry out contract administration including financial management, liaising with external consultants where employed
- Produce the Contract Programme, short term programmes, as built programmes and monitor / report progress as required
- Resolve technical problems ensuring work is carried out to the correct specification and QA standards
You will have:
- Relevant qualifications and experience as a Construction Project Manager
- Full understanding of current Health & Safety Legislation
- Steel and RC Frame and intricate brickwork detailing experience (preferred)
- Experience of working in live environments
- Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Commercial and contractual awareness
- Ability to manage all stakeholder relationships
- A full UK Drivers Licence
- Energy, drive and a passion for construction!
