Supply Chain Manager
Summary of Position
As our client's construction business continues to develop and expand, they are now recruiting for an enthusiastic Supply Chain Manager to work within their Procurement Team. The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly within a rapidly developing office environment. Job Overview In order to be considered for this role - it is essential that you have experience gained in the Construction / residential sector.
Main duties and responsibilities will involve:
- Populating subcontract and material tender enquiries and issuing via hard copy and email.
- Compare, discuss and agree tender subcontract, material quotations and submissions.
- Supporting the on-site Procurement Officer(s) with their day-to-day procurement for sites i.e. ordering site consumables, signs and office equipment etc.
- Engaging with the supply chain in order to develop and produce a database for the Region of Suppliers and Subcontractors whilst maintaining as the business continues to expand.
- Liaising with Operations personnel in order to fulfil their requirements.
- Obtaining new company details, including financial and insurance documentation; completing internal forms and issue to the relevant departments.
- Ensuring data management systems are kept up to date.
- Carrying out any other duties as and when required and deemed necessary within the scope and purpose of the role, as requested by the Line Manager.
- Offer support to operational staff whenever needed.
- Attending meetings when required.
- Introducing improvements where appropriate within areas of responsibility.
- Periodically review projects with the Head of Procurement, Contracts Manager and Director.
Qualifications & Training:
- Degree qualified
- Purchasing or supply chain qualification, CIPS or similar
- Lean or Six Sigma qualification with a demonstrable track record of using the tools.
