- Description
We have a rare opportunity for a Senior Cost Manager / PQS with at least 10 year's experience to establish an in-house client-side consultancy for a successful and financially strong residential development business based near Sheffield.
Projects include private housing, apartments and care homes developments throughout the North of England.
As well as establishing this new division of the business the day to day role will involve fund monitoring, costing, procurement, setting up of contracts and certificates and acting as employers agent.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive and ambitious client side Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager looking for a new career opportunity and 'something a little different'.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing in house consultancy systems.
- Estimating and cost planning
- Procurement
- Tender document preparation and reporting
- Contract administration and cost control
- Fund monitoring
- Interim valuations
- Cost reporting
- Final account preparation
- Acting as Employers Agent
Experience / Skills Required:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar technical discipline
- Previously employed by a consultancy or end user client
- A minimum of 10 years+ post Graduate experience
- Feasibility and cost planning, procurement advice, tender documentation and post contract services
- Stakeholder management
- A track record of managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines
- A team player, outgoing, flexible, enthusiastic and ambitious
- Client facing
