Mechanical Engineer / MEP / Building Services Engineer To design and develop building services engineering solutions for new products and site-based projects. Continuously develop technical solutions and improve engineering integration as directed by the Design Director, to an agreed brief including cost targets, programmes, and relevant standards and regulations.The Role:* To engage with and technically influence the building services design * Prepare reports, designs and drawings.* Produce design calculations to relevant codes of practice and current legislation/guidance.* Review and critique technical submissions from designers, suppliers and contractors* Consider the suitability of materials and equipment and select appropriately.* Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.* Liaise with professional staff and external consultants such as architects and engineers.* Maintain an appropriate knowledge of current technical developments, industry trends and legislation.* Monitor and inspect work undertaken in the factory and site environments to ensure installation standards and compliance with regulations.* Use computer aided design technology for simulation purposes.* Obtain planning, building regulations and third-party approval* Promote energy efficiency and other sustainable initiatives.Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:* BEng, Meng or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.* Minimum 2 years of work experience as an MEP Engineer* Knowledge of the construction sector and the relevant construction methodologies and associated codes / standards.* Sound understanding of physics and mathematics.* Skilled at using 3D modelling and 2D drafting packages.* Inventor CAD experiencePlease note that every effort will be made to contact all applicants, however due to the high volume in candidate applications if you have not had a response to your submission within 10 days please assume that you have not been shortlisted for interview on this occasion.
