Description

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Cost Consultant from a consultancy or client side organisation to join a successful residential construction developer and funder based in Yorkshire.

Our client is financially strong, and due to formation of a new division, has a requirement to grow an in-house consultancy team to monitor projects and funding of a variety of both internal and external developments.

You will aid in the management and growth of the consultancy function and be assigned to numerous projects ranging from £1M to £15M. You must be client facing, proactive and should ideally currently have experience of projects within the residential sector from private luxury housing, apartment schemes and larger residential developments. This is not a volume house builder.

The role will be based out of the South Yorkshire office with the option for a level of remote working.

The Role:

  • Develop processes and aid in the setting up of the consultancy team
  • Procurement
  • Tender document preparation and reporting
  • Contract administration and cost control
  • Fund monitoring
  • Interim valuations
  • Cost reporting
  • Final account preparation
  • Acting as Employers Agent
  • Stakeholder management
  • Post contract services
  • Proven effective coordination, negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
  • A track record of managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines
  • Profile / Skills Required:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or other relevant Professional body.
  • Previously employed by a consultancy or end user client
  • A team player, outgoing, flexible, enthusiastic and ambitious
  • Client facing

    This opportunity comes with a competitive salary to £55,000 (depending on experience) plus car allowance and full benefits package plus bonus.
