Site Engineer
Location - Yorkshire and North East
The Opportunity
Our client is looking for an experienced and technically strong Site Engineer to join their award-winning Leeds based construction business. The business builds in the Commercial, Student Accommodation, Industrial and Retail sectors with project values from £5m-£120m.
As Site Engineer you will be expected to:
- Offer technical advice on site.
- Manage the parts of the project on site.
- Oversee building work and ensuring the quality of the work.
- Setting out, levelling, and surveying the site
- Ensuring the plans, drawings and quantities are accurate.
You may also:
- Supervising site security, health, and safety.
- Organise and oversee material and human resources.
- Manage the design documents supplied.
- Liaise with the local authority to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
- Report progress and other updates back to clients.
- Plan the work efficiently and adapt to any setbacks or difficulties.
You will require:
- Civil engineering or Construction related degree
- A minimum of 10 years construction experience
- Strong management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Technical knowledge
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent IT knowledge
- Strong project-management skills
- Knowledge of relevant building and health and safety legislation
