- Description
This is a tier one main building contractor operating throughout the UK. Due to continued success and a major project win the Midlands region require a construction Document Controller based on the site of an £80M project in central Birmingham. This is a permanent role and this project will run for the next 2 years.
You will be required to provide a first-class service in Document Control coverage for the Project Team and ensure that all work requirements are met including:-
- Access request completion for new people / subcontractors and what security groups they need to be part of.
- Data Check Drawings issued from the Consultants / Subcontractors in viewpoint / 4P and push through for the designated workflow as per the status.
- Print Civil, Structural, Architectural Drawings (A0, A1 & A2 Scale) also create a working copy of the drawings in A3.
- Set up of the Site Document Area to accommodate the project files.
- Create and Update the Document Distribution Matrix for who gets specific documentation issued under transmittal from viewpoint electronically.
- Each week create the Late / Overdue reports for drawings / RFI's that are past the date required, this is done from viewpoint and issued to the design manager for chasing up.
- Site training of viewpoint / 4P to be given to new starters.
- Upload and manage any progress photographs of the site activities.
- Liaise with head office on any specific requests that maybe unusual.
- Drawings to be uploaded to SharePoint for working in collaboration with Plan Grid the QA software tool / or Field View.
- Coverage of other projects in the division of the Midlands
The Person
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Extensive Experience in a Similar Role / Site Based
- Proficient in MSO365, Viewpoint (4Projects), SharePoint, Plan Grid.

This is a permanent role with a salary to £30,000pa depending on experience and current remuneration.
