Project Manager
Project: South Yorkshire - Wakefield Office
We're recruiting for n experienced Project Manager to join a well established and financially stable family owned Yorkshire construction business. Managing projects from inception to completion, you will be committed to Health & Safety, and ensure quality and best practice. With a West Yorkshire office you will initially deliver a £25m steel frame industrial unit in South Yorkshire.

The Role
You will:
- Work closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor, providing the necessary input to allow the Quantity Surveyor to report on the current and projected financial status of the project
- Develop the projects main logic of works programme
- Ensure that no work commences on site until health and safety policy and the relevant construction phase plan is in place
- Develop Method Statements and Risk Assessments together with the Safety Plan and to observe the requirement of the CDM Regulations in the status of Principal Contractor
- Provide leadership and support to all Employees
- Manage labour and maintain high productivity
- Expedite materials and information release from design team
- Comply with the requirements of the company's Quality Procedure and Manual
- Manage all sub-contractors and supply chain effectively
- Supervise the quality of the works and hand over a snag free building
- At all times to represent the company in the best possible way, be courteous and professional working to the highest ethical standards
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A Construction or Civil Engineering related degree or a trade background with construction management experience
- Leadership experience in the construction industry or housebuilding sector
- Valid CSCS Management card
- Certified SMSTS
- Competent in Health and Safety practise
- A member of CIOB, ICE or CEng (Desirable)
