Intermediate Estimator - Civil Engineering
This is successful Yorkshire based Civil Engineering contractor that operates nationally. Projects sectors are generally industrial in nature from manufacturing to transport and distribution and food, energy and packaging with projects ranging from £250k - £2.5M.
Services include, drainage, heavy machinery foundations, bund walls, ground works and main contracting project management.
A Civil Engineering Estimator or Junior Estimator is required to join the Team based in Rotherham. You will be involved with various high value complex projects and be responsible for producing estimates to suit clients' requirements.
You should be?
- Educated to a degree/HND level in Civil Engineering
- Driving Licence
- At least two years' experience in preparing estimates
- A real team player with good time management, organisational and IT skills.
- A demonstratable ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information
You will be?
- Preparing estimates against a wide and varied range of work scopes
- Reviewing and appraising supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Communicate with Project Managers; Project Engineers; Technical & Design and Commercial personnel during the development of an estimate
- Preparing estimates that support contractual change control
- Reporting on clarifications, questions and any challenges after completing an estimate.
- Work with both internal and external stakeholders
