This is an extremely successful multi-disciplinary construction consultancy specialising in professional services to the housing sector. Located in luxury offices near Huddersfield the services the consultancy provide include architecture and design, project management, asset management, CDM coordination and surveying.
Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Architectural Design Team as a qualified Senior Architectural Technician. The consultancy are looking for someone with at least 10 years’ experience who is demonstrably competent in taking jobs from feasibility through to construction completion in a high pressure environment with tight deadlines. A full driving license is required and a willingness to travel. You will enjoy a varied workload including:
- Managing a demanding workload, running numerous jobs simultaneously, producing working drawings/specifications and checking/amending similar work drafted by others
- Fulfilling the role of Lead Designer to manage the project team
- Managing team members resource/work allocation to meet deadlines and programmes
- Attending client meetings
- Attending site and liaising with contractors
Qualities required for this role will include:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Design Office (MCIAT qualification preferred)
- A strong technical ability in all forms of construction
- Experience in Building and Planning regulations/procedures
- Good interpersonal, communication and written articulation skills
- A team player with the determination to drive projects forward
- Personal presence and well developed leadership skills to support and assist more junior members of the team
- Understanding of CDM Regulations and Designer’s Risk Assessments
- Familiarity with standard forms of contract and contract administration procedures
- An organised and methodical approach to your work.
- Articulate communications in both written & verbal forms.
- A confident and enthusiastic manner.
This opportunity comes with a salary to £38,000pa plus £5000 car allowance plus benefits package including:-
