This is one of the most successful specialist multi-disciplinary construction consultancies in the UK which has been around for over 40 years.Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join their specialist design team of over 20 staff.
The Role
You will play a key role within the design team, working on a range of residential projects including large-scale new build housing developments and complex high-rise apartment schemes across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technical delivery, project responsibility and mentoring junior team members within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing technical design drawings across RIBA Stages 2–6 for residential schemes
- Developing and managing 3D Revit models from concept through to construction issue
- Running multiple projects simultaneously, producing working drawings and specifications
- Reviewing and coordinating work produced by other team members
- Preparing planning, building regulations and construction information
- Attending client and design team meetings, providing technical input
- Carrying out site visits and liaising with contractors to resolve technical issues
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong experience within residential or housing developments
- Experience working within Design & Build environments
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Revit experience desirable (training available if required)
- Solid understanding of building regulations and planning processes
- Strong technical knowledge across construction methods
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A team player who can also take ownership of projects
- Ability to mentor and support junior team members
