Quantity Surveyor - 3 month Contract
The company:
This is a major player in the Housing sector set to become a market leader supplying modular affordable homes throughout the UK.
With a high tech manufacturing facility fully operational each modular home is produced on a production line ensuring the highest quality build. The company envisage sales of 2000 affordable housing units per year to tackle the UK's housing shortage.
The role:
This opportunity is for a driven Quantity Surveyor that is looking for a career move to a fast passed environment that will enable them to work autonomously with a very successful business.
All projects are modular housing developments located throughout the UK therefore experience of accommodation based projects such as housing and apartments would be beneficial.
Requirments:
- Full Quantity Surveying skills including measurements, valuation, and agreement of work sections
- Submitting accurate detailed payment applications
- Identifying areas of overspend and waste
- Identifying and reviewing areas of commercial risk and opportunity
- Chasing payment certificates and outstanding payments
- Ensuring records are made and recorded to support any variations and claims
- Optimise cash in and the net cash position
- Advise on commercial risks and opportunities within the project/s
You must be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying and preferably holding RICS accreditation.
