Logistics Operative - Manufacturing
Purpose:
To operate as a multi-skilled member of the Logistics team. To be physically and mentally adept in providing first class working practice within the stores and manufacturing environment. A keen eye for detail which leads to reliable stock management, inventory control and materials handling. Enthusiastic and willing to get involved in every aspect of warehouse and logistics management, confident communicator and all-round team player.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Health, Safety & Environmental best practice standards at all times.
- Stock is located correctly and accurately, picked and issued to the production lines as required.
- Operate all material movements and transactions.
- Full range of materials handling equipment for the movement of materials within the facility.
- Cleaning and maintaining of work areas and machinery.
- To work in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.
- To carry out any other duties as required/requested by the company.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
- Worked in similar role previously with one or more of the listed responsibilities
- Manufacturing experience
- ERP/MRP Stores systems
- Ability to work to procedures
- Computer literate with good administration skills
- Good communicator, verbal and written
- Ability to prioritise workload
Qualifications:
- Minimum GCSE Math & English Grade 9 to 4, A* to C
- Hold a current valid Forklift Truck license for all classes
- Multi-directional FLT licence an advantage
