Assistant / Graduate Quantity Surveyor
We have an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, from a PQS or Contractor background, to join an expanding residential construction business in Sheffield. Our client is financially strong, and due to recent expansion of a new division, has a requirement to establish a full construction team. The role will involve providing costing and fund monitoring services to the Residential sector.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a proactive Assistant Quantity Surveyor to add support to the in-house QS, who is able to work on a number of projects, monitoring the allocation of funds to numerous clients.
The Role:
- Assisting with estimating and cost planning
- Procurement
- Tender document preparation and reporting
- Contract administration and cost control
- Interim valuations
- Cost reporting
- Final account preparation
Experience / Skills Required:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
- Previously employed by a consultancy, contractor or end user client
- A minimum of 1 - 2 years+ post Graduate experience
- Feasibility and cost planning, procurement advice, tender documentation and post contract services
- Stakeholder management
- A track record of managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines
- A team player, outgoing, flexible, enthusiastic and ambitious
- Travelling to sites will be a requirement of the role so you will need a current driving licence.
