Job Title: Divisional Information Manager

Department: Information Management

Reports to: Group Information Manager

Region: North East

Main Purpose of the Role

The Divisional Information Manager is responsible for their Divisions Information Management: Viewpoint for Projects, Field view, SharePoint, Operating Framework, OneDrive and Email Management.

The Divisional Information Manger will be office and site based and will be travelling to sites in their region on a regular basis to engage and support the site teams with Information Management.

Travel will be required to other offices in the business as and when needed.

Main Role Responsibilities (Duties will include but not limited to):

  • Setting up Projects on Viewpoint / SharePoint / Fieldview and setting up users
  • QA Checking drawings/documents in line with the company's naming protocol on Viewpoint
  • Managing the workflows on Viewpoint and ensuring they are kept up to date
  • Ensuring that staff / Clients / Consultants / Subcontractors are following the company's protocol when using Viewpoint i.e Marking up / Using the RFI tool etc.
  • Ensuring compliance with Field view, SharePoint, Operating Framework, OneDrive and Email Management protocols.
  • Dealing with queries / issues from Site staff / Clients / Consultants / Subcontractors
  • Training Site Staff / Clients / Consultants / Subcontractors on the various sites in Information Management
  • Visiting various sites in their relevant regions
  • Auditing SharePoint / Fieldview and Viewpoint for Site projects and reporting back to the Group Information Manager
  • Liaising with other Divisional Information Managers
  • Managing Fieldview for the various sites, Drawing calibration, processes. Training will also be required for the company's Site Staff and Subcontractors
  • Monitoring the status of documentation through the workflows and chase outstanding information when necessary
  • Travel to the Yorkshire / Midlands and North West office as and when required
  • Managing the project email boxes for site projects
  • Ensuring of GDPR legislations in practices.

  • Experience & Qualifications

    Desired Experience Required

  • Must have experience in the Construction Industry
  • Must have previous experience working on site or main office in construction.
  • Experience using CDE Systems such as Viewpoint, Asite, Projectwise etc.
  • Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft packages i.e word, excel, outlook and teams.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technology and software packages.
  • Desired People Qualities

  • Ability to work well within a team of other professionals in addition to using own initiative.
  • Ability to learn, multitask, and have strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Reliable and have good attendance.
  • Desired Qualifications

    Educated to GCSE Level standard or equivalent including English and Maths
