This is a hugely successful tier one contractor that operate throughout the UK, with the inclusion on to a number of new frameworks and recent project wins the business will be opening a new North East office over the coming months.

Projects range from £1M to £50M within leisure and stadia, healthcare, education, commercial and residential sectors. They have a great deal of repeat business which is testament to the quality of the projects they deliver.
Role:
A site based Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to commercially manage projects including schools, new build colleges and other future schemes in a variety of sectors.
Working closely with the Senior Management Team you will play a key role as a site based Senior Quantity Surveyor ensuring the commercial success of new build projects including:
- To be a pivotal member of the regional commercial team.
- Full Quantity Surveying skills including measurements, valuation, and agreement of work sections
- Submitting accurate detailed payment applications
- Identifying areas of overspend and waste
- Identifying and reviewing areas of commercial risk and opportunity
- Chasing payment certificates and outstanding payments
- Ensuring records are made and recorded to support any variations and claims
- Producing accurate internal reporting
- Optimise cash in and the net cash position
- Advise on commercial risks and opportunities within the project/s
- Negotiate with clients representatives and other consultants
- Advise Project Management on contractual implications of intended courses of action
You should be Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management and ideally be RICS qualified.
This is a permanent role with excellent career progression. Salary is to £65,000pa (depending on experience) + car allowance + excellent package.
