Estimator required for a civil and build contractor working on infrastructure projects throughout the North of England from their base in South Yorkshire.

This business is involved in several major frameworks with power companies and require someone with a rounded background of build and civils, projects including wind farm connections and construction build schemes as examples.

The role:

• Carry out detailed take-offs to abstract into land appraisals and cost plans.
  Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects, including materials, Labour, and plant.
• Review project specifications and understand project requirements.
• Collaborate with other members of the team, PM’s etc
• Issue enquiries to the supply chain and obtain competitive tenders for subcontract and material supplies.
• Maintain and update cost databases.
• Prepare bid proposals and other documentation required for project bids.
   

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or BTEC Diploma in relative subject.
• Previous experience in Civil engineering or build projects.
• Proficient in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with internal and external Eagerness to learn and develop skills in estimating and construction management.

This opportunity comes with a salary to £55k depending on experience + car allowance + benefits package plus excellent career progression as the business continues to grow.
