Location: Huddersfield (Hybrid working available)We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Architectural Manager to join a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy supporting clients across the public housing sector.
You’ll play a key role overseeing the commercial management of the architectural design team, ensuring strong financial control, client satisfaction, and commercial success across multiple live projects. This is an ideal opportunity for a senior level architect with strong commercial acumen, you are probably an Associate or Associate Director with exposure to negotiating fees and keeping a handle on day to day commercial factors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project contracts, invoicing, and commercial risk management
- Maintain control of project profitability and fee recovery
- Advise on contractual and financial obligations
- Support and develop commercial awareness within the design team
- Manage client relationships and project delivery
About You
- Degree-qualified in construction related discipline
- Strong commercial management experience in consultancy or design practice
- Familiar with RIBA Plan of Work stages 1–7
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
