Step into a role where your technical expertise, organisation, and project management capability genuinely make an impact. Our client is a long-established, privately owned consultancy of Chartered Building Surveyors and Architectural Design professionals, delivering high-quality projects across commercial, industrial, education, retail and residential sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of complex, design-led schemes from site acquisition through to handover.

The Opportunity

You will join a respected, specialist team with a reputation for quality, integrity and professionalism. Working closely with senior project leads, you’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating design teams, managing technical information, and ensuring projects progress smoothly and efficiently. This is a role for someone who takes pride in precision, communication, and client care.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting senior staff in developing client briefs and establishing project requirements.
  • Conducting detailed background research including planning history, constraints, and site intelligence.
  • Procuring and coordinating specialist consultants—structural, M&E, ecology, fire, environmental and more.
  • Managing Planning & Building Regulation submissions, monitoring progress through to approval.
  • Liaising with statutory bodies, utilities providers and external stakeholders.
  • Reviewing design and consultant documentation to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Coordinating project information flow, documentation and key deliverables.
  • Attending client, consultant and internal team meetings as an integral project representative.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Degree or HND in a construction-related discipline.
  • At least 4 years experience within construction project management, technical coordination or document control.
  • Solid understanding of planning processes, design procurement and construction best practice.
  • Knowledge of CDM and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Strong IT capability, including Microsoft Office  and MS Project.
  • Confident communicator with excellent organisation, attention to detail and professional presence.
  • Motivated, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities with ease.

What’s On Offer

  • Salary up to £45,000
  • Car Allowance
  • 25 Days Holiday + Pension
  • Laptop & Mobile Phone
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Season Ticket Loan
  • Opportunities for long-term development within a highly respected practice
