- Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Architectural Technologist to join the in-house architectural team of one of the UK’s leading care home developers, based just outside Leeds.
The business designs, develops and constructs high-quality care facilities across the UK and has a substantial ongoing development programme. With architecture, development and construction expertise all sitting within the same organisation, this is an opportunity to become closely involved with projects from the early design stages through to technical delivery and construction.
We are looking for a strong all-round Architectural Technologist with excellent technical knowledge, strong Revit capability and a good understanding of construction detailing and buildability. The successful person will also need to be comfortable producing and developing 3D design information and visual material when required, although the role is primarily technically focused.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing detailed architectural and technical drawings using Revit
- Developing projects from planning through to detailed technical design and construction
- Preparing detailed working drawings and construction information
- Producing and coordinating technical drawing packages
- Developing construction details and resolving technical and buildability issues
- Ensuring designs comply with current Building Regulations and relevant technical standards
- Working closely with internal architectural, development and construction teams
- Coordinating information with external consultants and other disciplines
- Supporting projects through the technical design and construction stages
- Using 3D modelling and visualisation skills to support the wider design process when required
What We’re Looking For
You should have:
- Strong Revit skills and experience producing detailed technical information
- Very good knowledge of construction detailing and modern building technology
- Experience producing detailed working drawing and construction packages
- A good understanding of UK Building Regulations
- Good 3D modelling and visualisation capability
- The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced commercial design environment
Experience working on care homes, retirement living, residential, hotels, student accommodation or other accommodation-led developments would be particularly relevant
The Opportunity
You’ll be joining a highly successful, privately owned developer with an established in-house architectural team and a significant pipeline of projects across the UK.
The position offers a salary of £45,000 to £50,000 depending on experience, together with an excellent benefits package, modern working environment, free on-site parking, use of a fully equipped in-house gym and genuine opportunities to develop your career as the business continues to grow.
For an Architectural Technologist looking for a technically focused role where you can become closely involved with projects through detailed design and construction, while still having the opportunity to contribute to the wider design process, this is a particularly interesting opportunity.
You can apply via the link or contact Paul Buckingham for a confidential discussion.
