Project Manager - Industrial / Logistics
Location: Dublin
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a multi-billion pound turnover global construction business, delivering some of the highest profile developments in the UK and worldwide.
This business is looking for a Project Manager to deliver a Euro15M two block warehouse build with office space and welfare facilities as part of an existing team in Dublin which is part of a wider £90M development which is currently underway. This project will be delivered in parallel with a build programme from 1st March 2021 to end November 2021.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the build programme, management under D&B contract, design co-ordination, delivering to the right quality and within budget. The procurement is done, enabling works are complete and these blocks will be managed as a separate build to the main £90m scheme.
Initially, with it being a short term project i.e. a 9 month programme, employment could either be on a short term fixed contract (directly employed by client with all the benefits) or as a PSC / Limited Company / Umbrella Company on a daily rate. Ideally we are looking to employ residents of Southern Ireland, to avoid travel restrictions (due to COVID) and complexities of BREXIT.
The remuneration package is negotiable and will be based on the experience of the suitable candidates.
Responsibilities
- Ensure successful delivery of projects
- Develop and maintain close relationship with consultants and subcontractors to continuously improve the customer experience and support future repeat and negotiated business.
- To take active responsibility for all operational procedures in conjunction with the Senior Surveyor
- To suggest trade contractors, systems and manufacturers for team appraisal.
- To actively promote the company philosophy and culture.
- Chair meetings with the design team and with works contractors.
- Manage the change process in conjunction with the extended team.
- Provide feedback to trade contractors on completion
- To ensure our HSQE and quality standards, operating processes, company policies, ISO accreditations and all legislative requirements are understood, always implemented and adhered to.
Requirements - You will have
- Degree qualified or have an NVQ, Btec or Higher National equivalent Skills & Experiences
- 5+ years' experience with a single employer within the construction industry
- Readymade contacts (clients and supply chain)
- Experience of working on Developer led industrial units, specifically project delivery on site.
- Good knowledge and understanding of Word and Excel packages
- Good verbal and written communication skills
