We are actively seeking a candidate for a Design Manager opportunity with a background in Architectural Technology and staff management for a leading multi-disciplinary building consultancy. This company is a key player in the social housing sector, dedicated to creating sustainable and innovative living spaces across the UK.
Role Overview:
As Design Manager, your primary responsibility will be leading the Architectural Team to design and deliver projects within the social housing sector from large scale new build apartment schemes to refurbishment and retrofit projects.
With your architectural technology proficiency, you will bridge the gap between creative concepts and practical solutions, ensuring that designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functionally effective. Beyond overseeing projects and nurturing junior staff, a key aspect of your role will be to conduct quality checks on technical information and engage in detailed discussions with internal project managers. This is a managerial role but will involve rolling up your sleeves with projects.
